4 Instagram Story Tips to Step Up your Game
Read this for creative tips to share properly formatted Instagram Stories that captivate your audience’s attention.

A great photo or video will be ruined once uploaded to your IG Story if the dimensions are not correct. You want to ensure that the photo you choose properly takes up the screen in the highest quality. By shooting vertically and filling the entire screen, your stories will flow and have a cleaner aesthetic.
The ideal dimensions for Instagram Stories are 1080px wide by 1920px tall. An aspect ratio of 9:16
If you upload a photo or video to your IG Story that doesn't adhere to the required dimensions, Instagram will crop and automatically zoom in which ultimately causes a loss in quality and may crop out parts of your photo.
Notice how visually appealing the photo looks when it is taken vertically as opposed to horizontally.

Your IG Story showcases your brand! I put as much effort into my Story as I would to a feed post. Why not make it look as best as you can?
I advise to take photos on your phone camera first (vertically, of course) and then upload them to an editing app.
Once the photo is edited to your liking, upload it back to your Instagram Story.
When taking a photo with your phone ensure that you:
Clean your lens for a crisp and focused photo
Shoot in natural light- bring the subject of the photo near a window, or outside and ensure that the sun is not behind you, but shining on the subject
Try to put your subject in a clear space to avoid background distractions
